Edrie Means, an active professional actor, is a ”rock star of vocal crossover” and recognized expert in training singers in all vocal styles. Her students have appeared on the radio, National TV, on America’s Got Talent, The Voice, American Idol, Kidz Star USA, Grammy award recordings, Broadway, television, films, cabaret, international, tours, theme parks, cruises and concerts worldwide. With many performances broadcast internationally on NPR/PBS and recorded by Decca and Koch, Edrie has been a standby for notable Broadway stars like Patti LuPone, Elaine Paige and Linda Lavin. As a leading researcher in functional voice training and healthy vocal production she has authored several research publications in The Journal of Voice regarding the teaching of the Broadway voice. A sub-chapter in"Making The Song Authentic: It's a Matter of Style" with Springer Publishing. She is a contributing author for Teaching Singing in the 21st Century, The Voice Teacher’s Cookbook: Creative Recipes for Teachers of Singing and The Vocal Athlete 2nd Edition. Presents at various voice and theatre national and international conferences. Proud member of AEA.
