Carrigan O’Brian is an actor and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Carrigan received her BA in theater and psychology from Sarah Lawrence College. She also spent a year studying Spanish and theater in Zaragoza, Spain, a semester at the Accademia Dell’ Arte in Italy studying physical theater, and a semester at the National Theater Institute! Her favorite artistic projects include playing Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker (Barrymore nomination for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Play), directing an all-female version of Taming of the Shrew, and devising a staged version of Dubliners by James Joyce. Carrigan is also passionate about bringing theater to non-theater audiences and has worked for various nonprofits such as Adam Driver’s Arts in the Armed Forces, The 52nd Street Project and Educational Theater Collaborative. Carrigan has taught movement and devised theater workshops at Williamstown Theater Festival, the International Thespian Festival, The Vineyard Arts Project, etc. Look out for Carrigan in Hard Work, a new series directed by Julie Pacino!
