Connie de Veer is a Professor of Acting/Voice & Speech at Illinois State University. She is also a professional actor, coach, director, AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, and certified life coach. She has co-authored a book with Jan Elfline, Actor for Life: How to Have an Amazing Career Without All the Drama, incorporating life coaching exercises and interviews with professional working actors, including Jeff Perry (Scandal), Gary Cole (The Office, The Good Wife), and Sean Hayes (Will and Grace). The book will be published in 2018, by Smith & Kraus.
