Dawn Souza

Dawn Souza is a Rhode Island native and a certified theatre educator (K-12), thrilled to be presenting at SETC. She earned her BAS in Theatre and Secondary Education from Salve Regina University in RI, and then her MA from Emerson College in Boston, Ma. She is also an MFA candidate at VCU Theatre's Performance and Pedagogy Program. Some her favorite on stage roles include: Bella in Lost in Yonkers, and Ophelia in Hamlet. Dawn developed the theatre curriculum at Beacon Charter High School for the Arts in RI, and directed a wide variety of shows including: Lend Me a Tenor, Urinetown, The Musical, and Much Ado About Nothing, some of her favorites. Because of a chaotic time in her life Dawn decided to pursue her yoga career and is now a registered yoga 500 hour teacher. She has taught at a variety of studios in the RI area. She enjoys implementing yoga techniques in her classes for young actors and is amazed by how both of her passions have somehow been brought together.
