Deborah Bell
Deborah Bell is a professor of costume design at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her book "Mask Makers and Their Craft: An Illustrated Worldwide Study" (2010) is based on interviews with mask makers in ten countries and was reprinted in paperback in 2014. She recently edited "Masquerade: Essays on Tradition and Innovation Worldwide" (2015) for McFarland & Company, where the book has been listed as one of its best-selling books in its Pop Culture category. She has exhibited design work at the Prague Quadrennial and received the United States Institute for Theatre Technologys Herbert D. Greggs Award and American College Theatre Festivals Faculty Recognition Award.
