Stacey Cabaj is an award-winning actress, performance pedagogy specialist, and voice coach. She holds an M.F.A. in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, as well as teaching certifications in the Meisner Approach to Acting, Vibrant Voice Technique®, and Vocal Yoga®. She first studied Pedagogy of the Oppressed and Theatre of the Oppressed in her graduate pedagogy training, and currently explores the techniques through her service work with therapists, teachers, and administrators in training.

Before joining the faculty at Loyola Marymount University, she was an Assistant Professor/Associate Head of the M.F.A. Acting Program at Louisiana State University and headed the M.F.A. program in Performance Pedagogy at the University of Pittsburgh. As an actress, she has appeared across the United States and internationally in musical theatre, classical theatre, voiceover, and new works.

She is a member of Actors’ Equity, the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education, the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, Pedagogy of Theatre and the Oppressed, the Voice and Speech Trainers’ Association, and is the Head of the Voice & Speech Committee at the Southeastern Theatre Conference.
