Visiting Assistant Professor of Performance
The winner of the 2017 SETC Leighton M. Ballew Graduate Directing Scholarship, Tom is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Performance at Oklahoma State University. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Tom earned his BFA in theatre and worked for a decade as a performer in NYC, primarily in musical theatre. He toured with Jesus Christ Superstar and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and created roles in the original cast recording of When Push Comes to Shove and the Off-Broadway production of Wood!. Tom has worked as a voiceover artist, director and educator. He earned his MFA from the University of Alabama and has taught in the theatre departments of NYU, the University of Alabama, LeMoyne College and Oklahoma State University. He is a proud member of AEA and SDC and is a member of the Editorial Board for the Southern Theatre Magazine.
