Katrina Ploof
SETC Community Theatre Festival Adjudicator
Katrina Ploof is a freelance theatre professional based in Orlando, FL and has directed and choreographed over 200 productions in the U.S. and Canada. She came to directing after an extensive acting career, appearing in National Tours and Regional Theatre productions of works by Chekov, Shaw, Sondheim, Ibsen, Wilder, Wasserstein and McNally.
As a writer, she has collaborated on adaptations of works for young people by Charles Dickens and Kenneth Graham, and an original work about the travels of an extraordinary giraffe who became the first resident of the Paris Zoo.
In 2013 Katrina received Best Actress honors at the Florida Theatre Conference, Southeastern Theatre Conference and AACTFest for her performance in William Goldman’s solo play, Golda’s Balcony. In 2017 Katrina received Best Director honors at the Florida Theatre Conference and Southeastern Theatre Conference for her direction of The Amish Project.
She is a native of the great state of Maine and the daughter of a music teacher and a vocalist.
